Ochsner currently uses the web-based modules available at the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) for certification in Human Subjects Training. All those who need to be listed as study personnel on an IRB project must complete the required training. To obtain an eIRB password and access to the system, you must first complete the Ochsner required modules listed on the CITI program website. Step-by-step instructions on registering, completing the courses and affiliating from another institution can be found below.
In addition, Ochsner requires human subjects training re-certification every 3 years. This can be accomplished by completing the CITI refresher course or attending the Good Clinical Practice (GCP) lecture series presentations.
